Item No. 192: Carlo Mattogno: Auschwitz: Crematorium I and the Alleged Homicidal Gassings The morgue of the old crematorium in the Auschwitz concentration camp is said to have been the first location where mass gassings of Jews occurred over an extended period of time. In this study, Italian scholar Carlo Mattogno analyzes the most important witness testimonies and juxtaposes them with original German wartime documents as well as material evidence still available today. Mattogno shows that the witness testimonies are either extremely vague, or where they are specific, that they contradict each other and speak about physical impossibilities. A few witnesses made more specific statements, which allow for their verification. Mattogno performs an analysis of these statements with the help of both original German wartime documents and material evidence. His analysis reveals that the claims of these witnesses are totally unfounded. Mattogno also exposes the fraudulent attempts of mainstream historians to convert the witnesses' black propaganda into "truth" by means of selective quotes, omissions, and distortions. Finally, Mattogno shows with forensic methods -- by investigating the current state of this morgue as presented to tourists today -- that this crematory's morgue has never been anything different than what it was meant to be: a morgue.

Item No. 191: Carlo Mattogno: Auschwitz: Open Air Incinerations In spring and summer of 1944, 400,000 Hungarian Jews were deported to Auschwitz and allegedly murdered there in gas chambers. The Auschwitz crematoria are said to have been unable to cope with so many corpses. Therefore, every single day thousands of corpses are claimed to have been incinerated on huge pyres lit in deep trenches. The sky over Au­schwitz was covered in thick smoke. This is what some witnesses want us to believe. This study investigates all available documentary, physical, and anecdotal evidence. Carlo Mattogno shows that the witness statements contradict each other in every regard. They also contradict what would have been physically possible. The fact that there is no documentary or forensic evidence supporting the claims is finally explained by air photos taken by German and Allied air planes in 1944. They prove that the witnesses were wrong: No traces of huge pyres or massive smoke covering the camp can be seen. Although based on a kernel of truth, Mattogno concludes, the witness statements are vastly exaggerated, and their homicidal claims are untrue.

A Response to Jean-Claude Pressac With two major works on the Auschwitz concentration camp, French pharmacist Jean-Claude Pressac tried to refute revisionists with their own technical methods. Whereas his first work remained rather obscured, Pressac's second book on "The Technique of Mass Murder" was praised by the mainstream in Europe, and they proclaimed victory over the revisionists. But they did not reckon with the revisionists... In Auschwitz: Plain Facts, Pressac's works are subjected to a detailed and devastating critique by leading revisionist scholars. Although Pressac deserves credit for having made accessible many hitherto unknown documents, his writings could not refute the revisionists. Neither did Pressac adhered to scientific nor to formal standards when interpreting documents: He made claims that he either could not prove or which contradict the facts. Many documents he quoted do not state what he claimed they do. But most importantly: He did not pay any attention to "the technique" of the mass murder at issue, as his books claim. Neither do his books contain references to technical or scientific literature, nor are there any technical consideration in them. In fact, he reveals such a massive technical incompetence that his works belong into the category of novels rather than history. Despite these deficiencies, Pressac is still hailed as the savior of the Auschwitz-Holocaust by the mainstream. Auschwitz: Plain Facts is a must read for all those who want to argue against the lies and half truth of established historiography.

Pressac During the 1980s and 1990s, the late French pharmacist Jean-Claude Pressac was the only scholar who dared to confront revisionists argument for argument. During those years, he was praised as the anti-revisionist 'dragon slayer' by European mass media, and as such his works are still quoted by many scholars worldwide. Carlo Mattogno critically analyzes Pressac's work in this booklet. Although Pressac deserves credit for having made accessible many hitherto unknown documents, Mattogno proves that Pressac's work does not meet scholarly standards either of form or of content: Pressac alleges facts which he cannot prove or which are clearly contradicted by the evidence he presents, and he makes false claims about the alleged content of documents he quotes. Furthermore, Pressac, who claimed to have argued on a technical level, exhibits a massive technical incompetence and ignores facts known to him. Auschwitz: The End of a Legend is worthwhile reading for anyone who wants an introduction to the factual and technical underpinnings of the revisionist case on Auschwitz.

Rumor and Reality Mainstream historians claim that the very first gassing of 850 human beings at Auschwitz occurred on Sept. 3, 1941, in the basement of building no. 11 of the Auschwitz main camp. It is supposed to have lasted 15 hours, followed by another two days of ventilation and removal of the corpses. But when analyzing all available testimonies, which are the archetypes for all later gassing accounts, Mattogno comes to a quite different image in this study: According to this, it happened either in spring 1941, or on August 14, or 15, or on September 3-5, or 5-6, or 5-8, or on October 9, 1941, or in November or December of 1942. The location was either the old crematorium, or one, or all rooms, or even all rooms plus the hallway of the basement of building 11, or somewhere at Birkenau. The victims were either Russian POWs, or partisans, or political commissars, or Poles, or Russian POWs and sick Polish detainees. There were either 200, or 300, or 500, or 696, or 800, or 850, or 980, or 1,000, or 1,400, or 1,663 victims. The poison gas was administered either by SS-man Palitzsch, or by Tom Mix, or by "the strangler", or by Breitwieser either into the corridor, or into the cells a total of three cans, or perhaps two cans into each cell either through the door, or through a ventilation flap, or through openings above the doors to the cells. The victims died immediately, or perhaps stayed alive for 15 hours. The corpses were removed either the following day, or the following night, or 1-2 days later, or 3 days later, or on the 4th day, or the 6th day. The work took either a whole day, or a whole night, or 2 nights, or 3 nights. The bodies of the victims were either cremated, or buried in mass graves, or partly cremated and partly buried. This total chaos of claims regarding the very first gassing at Auschwitz is typical for all other accounts of homicidal gassings during the Third Reich. It makes it impossible to extract a consis-tent story. Using original wartime documents, Auschwitz: The First Gassing by Carlo Mattogno inflicts a final blow to the tale of the first homicidal gassing.

Item No. 19: Carlo Mattogno: Belzec in Propaganda, Testimonies, Archeological Research, and History Witnesses report that at least 600,000, if not as many as three million people primarily of Jewish faith, were murdered in the Belzec camp, located in eastern Poland, between November 1941 and December 1942. Various murder weapons are claimed to have been used: diesel gas chambers; quicklime in trains; high voltage; vacuum chambers. According to witnesses, the corpses were finally incinerated on huge pyres without leaving any traces. For those who know the stories about Treblinka, this all sounds too familiar. The author therefore restricted this study to the aspects, which are different and new compared to Treblinka, but otherwise refers the reader to his Treblinka book. The development of the official image portrait of Belzec is explained and subjected to a thorough critique. In contrast to Treblinka, forensic drillings and excavations were performed in the late 1990s in Belzec, the results of which are explained and critically reviewed. These findings, together with the absurd claims by 'witnesses,' refute the thesis of an extermination camp.

Heretofore only Polish communist writings, to be treated with caution, have dealt with Stutthof. According to this literature, Stutthof became a 'makeshift' extermination camp within the so-called 'Final Solution of the Jewish Question' in 1944. Court Reporter at the Dachau War Crimes Trial A rare, and historically valuable, account of American war crimes trials in postwar Germany, Joseph Halow's Innocent at Dachau is both a memoir by an American participant and the author's stocktaking, based on the trial transcripts, forty years later. Young Joe Halow was just a teenager when he volunteered to travel to Germany to serve as a court reporter in Dachau, where U.S. forces were conducting court martials of a variety of concentration camp officers, guards, kapos, and other defendants, including German civilians who had attacked and killed downed American pilots. Halow traces his own growth from an at best disinterested observer to a man deeply disturbed at the injustices meted out by the victors, in trials in which perjury was tolerated, if not suborned, among the former inmates, and political considerations trumped nearly every claim of equity. The transcripts and additional trial records which Halow ferreted out of the National Archives in the 1980s fully justify his misgivings during the trial, and amplify the sorry record of postwar victors' justice in Germany. Also valuable for Halow's impressions of everyday life in a Germany still economically as well as politically prostrate under Allied vengeance and misrule, Innocent at Dachau has been blacklisted in contemporary Germany.

Item No. 182: Ingrid Weckert: Jewish Emigration from the Third Reich Current historical writings dealing with matters related to the Third Reich paint a bleak picture. This applies especially to writings that deal with the Jewish ethnic group. To this day there are still accounts of the Jewish emigration that depict it as some kind of clandestine operation ?- as if the Jews who wished to leave Germany had to sneak over the borders in defiance of the German authorities, leaving all their possessions and wealth behind. The truth is that the emigration was welcomed by the German authorities, and frequently occurred under a constantly increasing pressure. Emigration was not some kind of wild flight, but rather a lawfully determined and regulated matter. Weckert's booklet elucidates the emigration process in law and policy, thereby augmenting the traditionally received picture of Jewish emigration from Germany. German and Jewish authorities worked closely together on this emigration. Jews interested in emigrating received detailed advice and offers of help from both sides. The accounts of Jews fleeing Germany in secret by night across some border are untenable. On the contrary, the German government was interested in getting rid of its Jews. It would have been senseless to prevent such an emigration.
